About Us

Protect the Balls is an organization founded by students at the University of Central Florida to raise money for testicular and prostate cancer. Protect the Balls was founded in response to the underwhelming amount of attention given to these two types of cancer. Prostate cancer has 8,000 more diagnosed patients per year than breast cancer, and testicular cancer is the most common form of cancer in men ages 18-35. One in eight men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer throughout their lives. The most tragic fact, is that these are two very preventable cancers if caught early enough. Join PTB in our fight to educate the public and fund male cancer research.

Our Goals:

Prostate and testicular cancer are commonly disregarded today. This is why Protect the Balls was founded, to emphasize the seriousness of both of these two types of cancer. Almost everyone knows someone who has, or has been affected by, prostate or testicular cancer. A shocking 80% of men who live to age 80 will be diagnosed with prostate cancer, and testicular cancer is the most common form of cancer in men ages 18-35. These are statistics that need to be changed. When caught early on, prostate and especially testicular cancer are two very treatable diseases. That's why we need to unite and raise awareness on how to prevent these two diseases. To learn about how to prevent and recognize the symptoms of these diseases, go to the  "Helpful Links" tab at the top of the page.

Our Pledge:

Protect the Balls pledges to donate our proceeds to male cancer research. For each purchase you make, a portion of the proceeds will go directly to the Prostate Cancer Foundation and/or the Lance Armstrong Foundation to fight these cancers head-on.

The Future:

Our organization sees a future with drastically reduced numbers of men diagnosed with these two diseases. Through education, comes prevention.
